We now should have a good idea of the basics of algebra.

Here are the 5 rules summarized.

We need to isolate the variable by undoing BEDMAS in a reverse direction

by using the opposite operation while balancing the scale by doing the same to both sides.

It helps to see this picture as a balance or scale

We don't need to draw it for every example but it helps to understand

Now for the tricky example, you really need to watch for negative exponents.

Now for mult / div examples

We will do division and more questions on monday.
